SAIL-QUALITIES
On the basis of the fact that the sail-top is put on an open boat, it is
normally not possible to go down, however too short or too high waves beat
into the boat according to additional load and speed.
That lays down limitsfor setting sails. The canoe only takes water after
the first third, on dipping into the wave or if the waves go through the
boat
from aft. Bucketand waterproof luggage are duty.
I could sail to approx. 50° at the wind (due to speed) but I was again
beated by sail-yawls in this discipline. Through an additionally installed
sword, we could achieve however even essentially better results.

EXPENSES
I wanted an inexpensive expansion for a canoe, that build an
allroundboat
from the canoe.
Easily, simply to handle and to transport well.
That was not quite successful , as I had to pay expensive the rigging,
the
rack, the swimmers and the helm-installation in this respect.
RIGGING
For the next season, I want to test a new rigging, a crab's claw-sail or
delta. I had have think about it already earlier again and again but I
didn't
want to give up the fore seat in the canoe. That is usable only with the
paddle then.
